    After two failed and returned attempts with other HDMI splitters, this one works. Right from the box, with better reception on both displays. Well worth the slight extra cost.

    My use for this is to go from my Motorola Cable Box to the splitter, and from there to my BOSE V25 entertainment system, and to my SONY Internet Player (NSZ-G7S). Get perfect transmission through my BOSE system, but when I’m using the SONY Player I get some picture noise on the Netflix user interface; however, once I select a Netflix movie, it works fine with no snow or noise. Not sure why this is the case. At any rate, it does the job, just wish I had a clear transmission for every connection. UPDATE: August 10, 2013 – DEAD Splitter – NO RESPONSE FROM JTech I purchased this splitter on June 15th and it died August 6th, so it lasted less than 2 months. Turned off my TV the night before and everything was fine; turned it on the next day, no picture. Looked at the splitter and only the red power light was on, the other lights for input and output were not on. Disconnected the splitter and then re-connected, no change; re-powered, no change. The input to my splitter is my Motorola Cable Box (Charter Cable), so removed the input from the splitter and plugged it directly into my TV and it worked fine, so the problem is the splitter. I first called JTech, got a recording, and left a message asking for return instructions (it says there’s a 1-year warranty). After leaving the message, I also went to their web site and submitted a support request, again asking for them to contact me back and tell me how to return it. NO RESPONSE form JTECH. I have had no call or e-mail from them and it’s been 4 days. When it worked it worked great, but once it died the JTech Company is Missing in Action. The 1 year warranty is meaningless, and the “death” of the splitter occurred after the Amazon-allowed return date. So…. I got a $40 lesson…. DO NOT BUY THIS SPLITTER !!!!!!!!!!!!…..DO NOT BUY ANY PRODUCT FROM JTech !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have since ordered a new splitter, at HALF the cost (only $19), from Sewell. I have another Sewell product (mini-deck) which has worked for years with no problems, so I’m hoping for the same success with their splitter. Update: 08-14-2013 – I tried the J-Tech phone number again yesterday, and finally got a real person who walked me through sending an e-mail to them by way of Amazon. Not easy since the Amazon links I tried just ended with a message that the time was past for Amazon return of the product. J-Tech wanted this approach so they would have the link to Amazon. At any rate, I got the return instructions from them (J-Tech) this morning and they said they would replace it. So, I’ll send it in and see what happens; but, I’m not optimistic that the replacement will be an better quality or last any longer. I’ll provide an update later.
