JTD18G-H5CH (JTD-322) - 4K 60Hz HDMI Audio Extractor w/ Optical & 3.5mm Outputs
Since the launch of the new generation consoles, Xbox Series X/S, and the PlayStation5, some users are unable to utilize their legacy audio equipment due to the lack of an Optical port on the new console systems. Fortunately, J-Tech Digital provides a solution to this issue with their JTD18G-H5CH Audio Extractor. (https://www.jtechdigital.com/products/audio-extractor-4k-60hz-hdmi-audio-extractor) This unit has the capability to extract digital HDMI audio signals from an HDMI compliant source, such as the new console systems, and provide audio output via the 3.5mm port for a 2Ch format, or the Optical out port for a 2CH / 5Ch format. The extractor also supports resolution up to 4K at 60Hz, with HDR-10 pass-through and HDCP 2.2 compliance.

Setup Instructions:
- Connect the source device (Xbox, PlayStation 5) in to the HDMI input of the extractor. The “Link” LED will illuminate indicating that an HDMI input signal has been detected
- Connect the display to the HDMI output of the extractor.
- Connect the 5V power adapter to the extractor. The “Power” LED will illuminate indicating that the extractor is receiving power
- Connect the audio device to the “L/R” output or “Optical” output port of the audio extractor
- If using the “L/R Out” port, please verify that the EDID switch on the unit is set to “2CH“. Also verify that the audio format from the source is PCM / Stereo
- If using the “Optical Out” port, the EDID switch can be set to either “2CH” or “5CH” depending on audio device’s supported audio formats (For surround sound formats, please select 5CH)
*Note: Simultaneous audio from L/R Out, Optical Out and HDMI can only be achieved if the source audio signal is set to PCM / Stereo.
**If aiming for surround sound, please ensure that the audio output setting on the console is set to standard Dolby Digital and not Dolby Digital Plus.
