JTD-HDEX-1 (JTD-146) - 1080P 60Hz HDMI Extender Balun Over Ethernet (200ft.)
The JTD-HDEX-1 (JTD-146) (https://www.jtechdigital.com/products/hdmi-extender-1080p-60hz-hdmi-extender-over-ethernet-200ft) HDMI extender allows users to extend their HDMI signal over a single CAT5e / 6 cable up to 200ft at 1080P video resolution*. The unit supports 2CH Stereo audio and is HDCP 1.2 / 1.4 compliant.
*Note: 200ft distance can be achieved using a CAT6 cable. For guaranteed optimal performance, use the customized J-TECH Ethernet cables available on our store.

- Connect the source device (Blu-ray player, cable box etc.) to the transmitters HDMI input port using an HDMI cable
- Connect a CAT5e / 6 cable from the transmitter to the receiver (Ethernet cables must follow the TIA/EIA-568A/B standard)
- Connect the display to the receivers HDMI output port using an HDMI cable
- The status indicator on the transmitter will light up red, and the indicator on the receiver will light up green. This verifies that the transmitter and receiver are communicating with each other

EDID Functionality:
If there are any issues with the extender not displaying an image on the display, there may be an incompatibility issue between the source device and the extender. The EDID function on the transmitter can help eliminate that issue by directly copying the displays resolution / refresh rate in to the transmitter, and passing that information to the source device
To use the EDID function:
- Connect the transmitter’s HDMI input port to the displays HDMI input port
- Power on both the transmitter and the display, and verify that the display is on the same HDMI input as the transmitter
- Hold down the EDID copy button on the transmitter for about 5 seconds. The LED light on the transmitter should change from red – green – red
- At this point, power down the transmitter, and the displays information will be saved on to the transmitter
- Connect the transmitter back to the source device and the receiver to the display. The extender will now pass the EDID information copied from your display to the source device
If users plan on using the extenders on a different display, they can erase previously stored EDID information so that the unit works with the new display without any disruption
To clear the EDID information:
- Disconnect the HDMI and the Ethernet cable from the transmitter, and only have the power adapter plugged in to the unit
- Hold down the EDID button for about 5 seconds. The red LED should flash for a few seconds, and then stop flashing
- Power down the transmitter, and all of the previously EDID information will be erased from the transmitter
